Josh's Inner Self short story

Hey guys! Below is a fictional story I wrote about a man who looked in the mirror, and saw something, that wasn't actually himself! 

                                                    Josh's Inner Self

Once there was a handsome young man named Josh, who thought highly of himself. Most of the time, He was good on the outside, but he was greedy sometimes. There was one thing that this young man lacked, which was patience. He had an uncontrollable temper. For example, one day as he had a very high fever, one of his hired help brought him some warm tea. As the old woman was carrying the pitcher of tea on a platter, she tripped on Josh’s pair of shoes and tea spilt all over Josh. The scent of tea filled the room while the servant cried out repeatedly, “I’m so sorry sir!” She rushed and grabbed a washcloth, and started to clean the disaster. The man popped out of bed, “You fool!” the Josh exclaimed. He got out of bed, barefoot, and stepped on a piece of broken glass! Of course, that made him even more angry. Anyway, you can see that this man, had an uncontrollable temper. “I’m so sorry. I was definitely overreacting.” Josh apologized the next day. Josh was getting ready to go on a trip, and right before he was about to go out the door, the butler came in with an extremely mysterious package.“What is this?” Josh said to himself. He was very anxious to open it, so he decided his trip can wait 10 more minutes. He hurried to his bedroom, and carefully, yet quickly, opened the package. “A mirror,” Josh exclaimed, “Who would send me this?” He looked and there was no return address. He carefully picked up the delicate, beautiful mirror, and looked into it and gasped at what he saw. He threw down the mirror after he stared at what appears to be himself. He saw a large, extremely ugly creature. In the reflection, his skin was tainted a light green, and he had warts all over his face. What appeared to be Josh’s, the teeth were yellow, rotten and crooked. When Josh blinked “it” blinked. Josh threw down the mirror on his bed and rubbed his yes, amazed at what he had just witnessed. He thought he was hallucinating but just to make sure, he picked up the mirror again. “What in the...” Josh suddenly realized that this mirror must be a mirror to look on the inside of yourself, unlike normal mirrors, you are looking at the outside. “Inside I must be a cruel, evil person with a heart of stone.” Josh thought. Josh realized he should try to be a better man not just on the outside, but on the inside also. To this day, Josh tries to be a person that is not evil inside. He tries not to think bad thoughts about people, gossip, or pretend to be righteous. Now when Josh sees himself in the mirror, he does not wee an ugly toad, but a handsome young man.
