Facts about Florida

Florida became a state on March 3rd, 1845. Today I am going to be giving 6 reasons to live in Florida:

1.        I can wear short-sleeved-shirts and shorts at Christmas (sometimes)
2.       There are a lot of beaches
3.       I can swim on Thanksgiving
4.       There are a lot of Activities in Florida such as, Lowry Park Zoo, Sky zone, I Fly, the Ferris Wheel in “The Heart of Orlando,” Coco Key, and more!
5.       There are a lot of amusement parks including, Disney World, Lego Land, Busch Gardens, SeaWorld, and Universal!
6.       No matter where you are in Florida, you are never more than 60 miles from a beach
                              The bad things about living in Florida:

  • It never snows
  • There's not very many reasons! 

Now, here are some fun facts about Florida!

1.       Walt Disney World is the same size as San Francisco
2.       Florida is the only state that has 2 rivers both with the same name. There is a Withlacoochee in north central Florida (Madison County) and a Withlacoochee in central Florida. They have nothing in common except the name.
3.       Sure, it always seems like summer in Florida, but it’s always Christmas, too. The town of Christmas, Florida, is decorated for the holiday year-round
4. Florida has more golf courses than any other state
5. Florida is the only state where crocodiles and alligators live together

5.       The state’s flower is the Orange Blossom

Hey guys! So, I know I haven’t posted in this for 2 months! I have been really busy with school and stuff. Speaking of school, I have signed up for part-time Florida Virtual School ! I take fitness and math classes on there, and it is extremely awesome J ! If you are reading this, you should definitely sign up. Hi, my name is Kayleigh!   First of all I want to tell you why I decided to have my own blog and what it will be about. I am writing a blog because I want to earn some extra money and because I want to have the experience of writing.
